Works on White is a collage referring to the notion of ‘white’ improvising on interpretations of white as an abstraction, seen as either the sublime or a malign force but mostly representing 'white' in relation to identity. In a grand collaboration with Tony Kennedy / Badgewearer - visual sources and sound recordings as well as textual commentary were collected and re-assembled. A story built on several suggestive lines, relating to human connectivity in this digital era. With visual references and quotes taken from iconic art works and literature.
The story unfolds as a projection upon three transparent screens of gauze fabric. The holographic image connects with the architecture of the exhibition space and immerses the viewer. The music was written by Marc Verhoeven.
