Short films and live version in collaboration with musician Dirk Bruinsma. The first PD version was made in 2016 based on the virtues propagated by the then to become first lady: Kindness, Honesty, Respect, Compassion, Charity, Understanding, Cooperation. The policy that followed took a rather different direction and proved these virtues to be seen as merely 'female business’, clearing the way to other dealings.
PD#2 had its first appearance on the Bionica film festival, Barcelona (streamed end of 2021) and lately on the New-Media Triennial 22 in Ulus, Belgrade.
PD#3 has been exhibited at H(a)L, Rotterdam in Feb. 2023.
PD #2 and #3 have been performed as part of the culture prize event at the Schouwburg Theater, Rotterdam featuring cellist Nina Hitz.
The Pale Drops series hops in between mainstream imagery, the mundane and visual art. Pale Drops #3 follows the term 'televised' and reflects upon the way we receive images of destruction and rubble through sterile and shiny TV studios and applications. It follows Pale Drops #2 as a video clip which includes a political comment. The visual elements combined into a moving collage depict the workers behind the final product, destruction as distraction and car traffic as a metaphor to the flow of information.
